The curse of Curb Your Enthusiasm.

Watched five minutes and it was painful viewing... Simon Amstell was, for the first two seasons at least, very good on Buzzcocks. He's pony in this.

I like Lead Balloon (although the fact that everyone on there apart from Jack Dee's character is sooooo much of a smartarse does grate a little) but am yet to see Grandma's House; I Sky Plussed it and was going to watch it tonight. May give it a swerve now though.

CYE is genius; I'm buying the entire box set this weekend.

I kinda liked it. More laughs than Mitchell and Webb and Shooting Stars combined. The only laugh from M&W was the arguing parents.

I was mildly impressed with Channel 4's IT Crowd replacement last week, Dave Vs Life. Sure, it's not as funny as IT Crowd and it certainly isn't as clever, but it had its moments.

Do you think The IT Crowd should do another series? Linehan says they will.
Or would the old adage of quit while you're ahead be better?
For what it's worth I though S4 had some of the best lines and storylines so far, but I'm not sure they can take the show any further now really.

If anything, I think IT Crowd has got better with age and has developed a cult following that the writers certainly seem to be able to relate to, so I fully expect them to do a fifth and then, possibly, leave it as an untouched, unspoilt series.

Compare that with Peep Show which, despite being one of the better comedies last year and still being side-splittingly funny last series, showed signs of jumping the shark towards the end. I can see only one series left in Peep Show too, which will leave a gaping hole in C4's comedy bracket.
