Following meetings with Southend United today, we are making some alterations to arrangements to assist the constant flow of coaches from Roots Hall but also to provide as much flexibility as possible to supporters.

All Southend United and Shrimpers Trust passengers will now queue together and will be boarded on a first come, first served basis starting from 9am until 10.30. Coaches will depart as they are filled during this time with the last departure time at 10.30. We hope this will eliminate any
confusion at Roots Hall as to boarding correct coaches.

There will be stewards and Trust volunteers on hand to help you. If you have any problems on the day please call the travel phone on 07892 905338

Please see attached diagram showing the location of coaches on your arrival to Roots Hall.

For those travelling from the Watermill, we have 3 coaches boarding from here. These will arrive from 10am and depart as filled until 11am.

Frequently asked questions:

Can I park at Roots Hall?
Unfortunately, due to the volume of coaches at Roots Hall there will be no car parking available at Roots Hall.

Can I leave my bag on the coach during the game?
You will board the same coach on your return journey therefore bags can be left on board. Please note that this is at the owners own risk.

Can I sit with my friends?
Yes, please ensure you arrive and queue together as you will be boarded in order.

Will I be allocated a coach?
No, coaches will be boarded together with the official SUFC coaches. You will remain allocated to this coach on your return.

How will I know it’s a Trust coach?
Both SUFC and Trust coaches will be boarded together. Just show your confirmation to board.

I have not received any coach tickets?
Don’t worry! We just require your email confirmation to board. Let us know if you need help.

I can’t find my confirmation?
Check your junk mail, if still can’t find please email info@shrimperstrust.co.uk

Are we going back to the EFL?
Absolutely - enjoy the game!

I'm not travelling by coach, but for the avoidance of doubt, do the tickets specify which of the three departure points? (I know, silly question!).

Also a reminder that, as far as I'm aware, supporters being dropped off at Southend Airport, need to do so via the Long Stay car park (15 mins free). Is that correct?

Just to confirm that when I asked this question at the Ticket Office I was given the same answer.

Southend United are pleased to announce information to supporters who have purchased a ticket & coach package for Sunday’s National League Promotion Final against Oldham Athletic on Sunday 1 June.

An email has been circulated with key information, specifically around timings and safety measures at the three locations (Roots Hall Stadium, London Southend Airport and Festival Leisure, Basildon).

If you have not received an email, please see individual PDF’s below, outlining the guidelines to follow when embarking on your coach journey.

Over 3,500 fans will be travelling via coach with a large amount from Roots Hall Stadium, the club have worked with all stakeholders to ensure that the departures will run as smoothly as possible, allowing supporters to soak up the atmosphere at Wembley Stadium which will be a very special day for all involved.

We would like to thank London Southend Airport and Festival Leisure, Basildon for allowing us to utilise their grounds and assisting us with the planning, giving supporters an alternative location to travel from in the safest manner possible.

A mention also goes to our stewards and security team who will be on-site at each location, to assist supporters as well as, SBC Leisure, Transport Made Simple, Burnetts of Essex, Grange Travel and the Shrimpers Trust who have not only sourced coaches in a very limited timeframe but also giving guidance and expertise around the vast planning that has taken place over the last week.

My mother in law is going by coach tomorrow. Her first live game since she gave her season ticket up 2 seasons back, after 40 plus years.
She is in her late 80s, and it was all too much for most games at the antiquated Hall so tomorrow will be a real tester.
Thanks to the Trust she will get priority on the coach boarding, as standing for more than a few minutes is a challenge.
Please be patient and understanding as fast deployment and manouvres is not her anymore.
