The BT - T20 Week!

The General

The Mouse (*)
Lost the toss and put into bat, which is fooking annoying! They dont have a bad team, but there top 4 players are all dead PFL-wise as the manager very rarely logs in! Sookram, rather annoyingly, cant play all week! Johnson doesn't play, Raven and Cook are batters only!

End of Over 9: 73-1, runrate=8.11
Richardson 1-0-5-0
Browne* 33 (20 balls)
Lamb 30 (25 balls)

Last Wicket: Bayliss c. Richardson b. Bean 10 (FOW: 18/1)

Quite a good over that, just as I was starting to get worried as well.

End of Over 19: 189-3, runrate=9.95, reqrunrate=1.00 (189-1)
Bruce 4-0-45-1
Finnan* 15 (7 balls)
Griffith 97 (55 balls)
Last Wicket: Montgomery lbw b. Lisbie 11 (FOW: 166/3)
18.6 4 Bruce to Griffith
Griffith executes a perfect sweep, getting down early and hitting it hard past Milner at short leg for four.
18.5 1 Bruce to Finnan
Slogged away to the man in the deep. Good fielding keeps it down to one.
18.4 4 Bruce to Finnan
Oh that's a beauty. Finnan cracks it off the back foot and the ball races to the boundary. Bruce shrugs his shoulders, it looked like a good ball.
18.3 2 Bruce to Finnan
Good length delivery and edged! Well if you bowl there you are bound to get an edge sometime. Length is the key! Third man, who is very fine, hauls it back in but not before the batsmen cross for two.
18.3 nb6 Bruce to Finnan
no ball, Straight out of the meat of the bat. They'll be looking weeks for that ball, it's out of the ground!
18.2 2 Bruce to Finnan
Finnan picks up a couple with a drive through the covers.
18.1 1 Bruce to Griffith
Played down to long off for a single. Griffith loses his bat after setting off and has to run back and get it. Lisbie jokingly takes off the bails and asks the question to the umpire.

Particularly like the no-ball 6 for its Tony Greig commentary.

Scored the 75 I needed today in less than 6 overs.

Yesterday's unnecessary GFI (they semi threw the game) has left my mob pretty exhausted. Hoping we can recover well enough to put another GFI in against Rickmansworth on Sunday who boast 6 players of 80k+. They are 7th in OD IV but 4th in FC II so are obviously throwing Friday games and going for the cup. If they can beat YB's team I doubt I can do too much but I'll certainly be giving it a try!

Our first 11 are currently on:
1 x sublime
6 x invigorated
4 x lively

Will hopefully only have to use our 7, 8 and 9 batsmen and maybe one of the bowlers in each of the BT20 games though.

grrr lost by 3 run when i needed 15 from 3 overs.

So that's defeat with one ball to go and a 3 run defeat when overall i've been better than my opponents :madman:

Oh crap, I only fleetingly looked at the divisions of my opponents, turns out the two mid table V teams are actually quite good! Both have 6 figure players in their line ups. Maybe I won't be getting through after all!

Toughie today, sent Mario and Kev out to make an impact on the dusty pitch, they did but now they're making hay.

End of Over 12: 78-2, runrate=6.50
Hallett 3-0-28-0
Soleyn* 48 (30 balls)
Castle 29 (35 balls)

Last Wicket: Love c. Hallett b. Marriott 0 (FOW: 6/2)

Better!

End of Over 14: 93-5, runrate=6.64
Hallett 4-0-29-3
Speight* 1 (1 balls)
Walsh 0 (1 balls)

Last Wicket: Aniston b. Hallett 0 (FOW: 93/5)

13.6 . Hallett to Walsh
Short ball on off stump, eases it away towards point in defence.
13.5 W Hallett to Aniston
Defensive stroke played, but the ball beats the bat as it nips back sharply and the bails are sent up into the air.
13.4 W Hallett to Soleyn
What a catch, that was a genuine stroke. Fantastic anticipation by Marriott at short leg.
13.3 . Hallett to Soleyn
Hallett swings it into Soleyn's legs and he nudges it to square leg. No run.
13.2 1 Hallett to Speight
Forward, deep backward point runs in to field the ball.
13.1 W Hallett to Castle
Castle charged down the track to a back of a length delivery on off stump. He tried to loft it over mid on but didn't get hold of it and the result is a simple catch for Easahak.

Is that my team or yours?

Anyway, getting a real tonking. Not helped by me not changing the bowlers, so ended up with my best batsman bowling (worthless/abysmal bowl). Oops

End of Over 18: 209-1, runrate=11.61
Dyke 4-0-53-0
Ahmed* 70 (52 balls)
Allen 127 (50 balls)

Last Wicket: Zithulele c. Perry b. Mirza 7 (FOW: 7/1)

That's definitely your team, I'm not claiming that!

Disappointed that they managed to get this after reducing them to 93-5. They look like they have a mix of good and bad bowlers playing. Hopefully we can see off the good ones then plunder some runs.

End of Over 20: 148-10, runrate=7.40
Keegan 3-0-20-2
Walsh* 27 (14 balls)

End of Over 9: 75-3, runrate=8.33, reqrunrate=8.64 (169-5)
Asher 1-0-8-1
Norton* 1 (1 balls)
Clitheroe 23 (12 balls)
Last Wicket: Coutts c. Staley b. Asher 17 (FOW: 70/3)

Won by 10 wickets making it 2 wins out of 3 games. Annoyingly lost yesterday by 3 runs chasing over 200. I'm in the same boat as most of you, i.e everybody's shagged, so just playing anyone who's at Sublime. Could sneak through as I have the 2 sides above me in the last 2 games, so hopefully the like of Brucie, Del-Boy, Nagga, Jacko and the Hurdy-Gurdy man will be fit by then.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Mrs BB won again today making it 3 out of 3, but like the rest of us, most of her squad is knackered.

A sterling effort

End of Over 14: 129-1, runrate=9.21, reqrunrate=16.83 (229-1)
Cort 4-0-44-1
Armstrong* 66 (47 balls)
Prag 17 (7 balls)

Last Wicket: Jefferson c. Zithulele b. Cort 44 (FOW: 86/1)
