The Bluebelles Tonight

SUFC Forever

Manager
What actually happened tonight with the Bluebelles?

Did somebody put the wrong music on? Whatever, it was a complete and utter shambles.

Good for those kids getting to take penalties on a league ground and something they will remember for the rest of their lives but am I alone in thinking that the sight of 10 year olds taking numerous penalties didn't hold the attention too long and hardly passed for pre match entertainment?

Also where was "my bird" Amy tonight? Something is certainly missing when she is not on parade with the Bluebelles but perhaps on reflection after what happened tonight, it was probably a good one to miss for the lovely young lady.

Peter Holmes said at the end of their routine that the wrong music had been put on, which explained the frantic throat cutting/kill music movements they were making. So you have to admire them for picking up the routine for the Cascada piece which wasn't what they had practised for.

Thought the penalties was a good idea, but should have all been done one end and with less children for each side, and would have been funier with the mascots in goal. Southend Manor didn't seem organised with their kickers, or running around the track at the end while Benfleet Villa were much quicker. I have to mention here that I thought the Brighton fans deserve some credit for their whole hearted applause and reception for both the kids and the Bluebelles.

I thought it was hilarious.....:D

As for the pens, it goes on a bit dont it. Do they need that many penalty takers when half of em took 2. Is it a knockout comp they have, to win a trophy at the end of the season or is it just a one game event?

I suppose it means we dont get to watch the prawn sandwich eaters in their black slipons take shots at the goal which having seen two cars won last season, isnt exactly thrilling.

If we aint careful complaining about the half time entertainment, they may get Chico back! :stunned::'(

The Bluebelles gave the music man a cd that was so scratched it did not register with any of the cd players...

As they have previosuly danced to just Cascada songs for the last 8 months and because they only supply just the cd without the album cover it was impossible for the music man to know what song they were to dance to - he knew the track number but not the song.

Knowing that they have previosuly danced to 'Everytime we touch' and as this was the first Cascada song he found in his collection, he played this instead hoping that this was the song they requested...which it was'nt!

Through no fault of his own he has been made to look like an absolute mug!

Oh well - life goes on. :'(

Don't moan about the kids at halftime they will be our midfield after Christmas

What happened to the half time challenge?

Not sure. Only been two the Chelts game and the Brighton one....its been absent seemingly. Maybe Essex Ford, having given away two cars last season couldnt afford to do this years sponsorship?

I think the kids pens is good but it goes on too long for me. They should have 5 pen takers, have a league or knockout system for a cup at the end of the season. If they get through then they can change the pen takers so the whole team get a go.

It took ages on Fri.....but a good idea nonetheless for me...

Yes credit where it is due. Both Bluebelles and Brighton fans - the girls did famously well in the adversity of having practised all week no doubt to a different set.

Hilarious, but well done girls for taking initiative & getting on with it.

It's about time we ditched this paedo's delight - it's tacky and has no redeeming qualities. Real US style cheerleaders (who are actually old enough to be considered 'women') would be an improvement, but I favour a return to old skool marching bands. Or perhaps gladatorial combat.

Propper cheer leaders would be great, before the game and at half time.
And it would be nice if they actually performed to everybody not just to the empty directors box!!
