Now I know Bobby Greenberg will struggle with this as I will.......Libertine reminded me over the weekend when he listed to "Rubber Soul"..sometimes I forget what made me love them...

So this is a poll to find out what was the best album and once we have 3 at the top we will disect them to find an absolute winner.

I'd have to say....

"The Best of The Beatles"

(Not original, but I couldn't resist. Sorry.)

Has to be Revolver. Have "issues" with The White Album and Sgt Pepper - love every song on Revolver, plus the incredible Tomorrow Never Knows was 20 years ahead of its time with the sampling and tape loops.

This is a hard choice.....but after seeing them in 1964 at the Southend Odeon, just after this album was released......I guess I have to go for "A Hard Days Night"

It is a tough question though....:-S

i would have given anything to be there. such an amazing band. such a wealth of songs. Revolver just edges it for me.

My dad went to that too ... i asked him about it once, really impressed that he'd seen them play but he just replied that they were "alright" but not a patch on Duane Eddy or Eddie Cochran ... bloody heathen !!!

I had the choice of The Beatles or The Stones at The Odeon and chose the Stones as they were a bit more 'cool' at the time...........wish I'd seen The Beatles!

Been stalking me on Facebook I see John ;)

As fantastic as it was listening to Rubber Soul it still is Revolver for me.
