This is my first day writing on shrimper zone. I would like to thank the team for cheering me up on Saturday after having lost a close friend from cancer last week. And also thanks to the supporters. You were fantastic and the sight of the ones behind the goal waving the yellow scarves . It will remain in my memory for ever. It was an awesome sight. I have been a supporter for fifty years and I think we have the best fans. Hope the extra fans that came to Wembley come to roots hall next season.

Sorry to hear that you lost someone mate, tough times.

Keep on posting, there's a new league one season starting in a few weeks :winking:

Even if 500 more come....then they could experience something of what its like to be a shrimper ALL season.
A mate went to Wembley (hates football, it was his first ever match he has been to....I'm working on him.)

It's good that everything Blue and White has helped you over a difficult time. ShrimperZone is very addictive and it looks as if you're about to get hooked mate.

At its best SZ is a terrific crutch at difficult times, you've joined at a good time so hopefully all things SUFC will help provide you with a bit of a lift to help you through your loss.

Welcome my friend, sorry to hear about your lose....

Welcome Howard yes it was a fantastic day. I'm sure your friend would have approved of the uplift you have had from Southend United!
Please stay and join in the general opprobrium sarcasm and unhappiness which is the lower league way. Feel free to berate both Mrs Blue and Wiggy and any of the rest of us who are ever negative and truthful.
But mainly do take part in the Prediction League in which you can join the rest of us proving we can't be managers

A big welcome to a new 'zoner', brave to come on and make your first post, hopefully the first of many!

Sorry to hear about your loss. Nothing will compensate for that, but glad that the team, and the supporters have helped even a little bit - for the first time in 5 years, as fans, we really have got something to celebrate. We are a community on the zone, within the wider Southend United supporters community; and we generally look after our own. We don't always agree, and we do like a debate and the odd crossed words. And when someone gets a bit overly excited, order is restored by the moderators. What I am trying to say is remember your friend, and don't feel alone in your loss and time of need. You will always find someone to talk to, or disagree with on here!
