Tes or Drewe

number11

"Good morning everybody........"
I apologise if this has been done before....I know we have debated whether Drewe is a legend or a sweat band wearing jonah, and whether Tes is a waste of human matter or misunderstood genius. I find it amusing how two players seem to divide opinion so much...whereas there is a general consensus for our other failed strikers of the lean years... either appathy (Dudfield, Abbey etc) or hate (Rawle, Jones, Roach etc).

So out of interest, if we were struck down with a flu crisis and a resultant striker shortage, and as emergency loan cover Tilly could only get in Tes or Drewe to start the season for us, who would you bring in for a months loan?

Oh, and for what it's worth, Id just about go for Drewe. Too many seasons were spent waiting for the talent within Bramble to develop, only for him to continually disappoint. Id much rather see someone slightly less talented but give their all in a blue shirt....and perhaps the fact Drewe is playing league football next year whereas Tes is sliding out of the league shows that other managers think the same.....

Drewe.

It took me about half the first game I saw him playing in to work out people weren't booing him, but shouting "Dreeeewwwwwweeeee"

Still makes me laugh now...

I remember reading the Times guide to that season when in the summary on Kidderminster it said something like "The perenial misser of easy chances Drewe Broughton has left"...which filled me with confidence.... Good range of sweatbands though.

Tes all day,

10x the player Drewe could ever become and a wasted talent. Drewe is not worth a w@nk in my book.

Erm....
neither?

Tes had talent but was too lazy to use it consistently. Drewe had, ahem, limited talent but always gave 100% to the cause.

Droo every time - took us to our first ever Final after scoring against the Scum, always gave 100% no matter how shi-te his scoring record was, and could string a sentence together. Nice wristbands as well.......

Tes, as No.11 said, just took too long to get going. He had the potential but never looked arsed, spent too long spending his brothers cash, being arrested for various motoring offences and being 'ill' 10 mins before KO. Waster.

Tes - a decision that will surprise many, no doubt. As much as I love Drrrroooo the legend, and as much as Tes is undoubtedly the most frustrating player I have ever seen in a blue shirt, the fact remains that Tes occasionally showed flashes of talent... whilst we all know that Drrrooooo is a total bloody donkey.

So, just for an emergency loan, I'd have Tes back - in the hope that for at least two of the eight games he played, he might break sweat and score a goal or two.

Make no mistake, though - I'd want neither back full time.

:)

I'd take Tes over Drewe, Tes can play in more positions such as Left Wing and Goalkeeper.

I'd rather play with 10 men then with Drewe. Tes might only turn it on once every ten games (I think his scoring record for us, was more like one in every three and bit), but that would still be once more often than Drewe.

See Drewe has signed for MK Dons, how I look forward to watching him play when I move up to MK.

Tes for me...he did show flashes of what he can do with his marauding runs down the right-hand side.

Drewe, if hadn't scored THAT goal against Col U would never be a legend as he is just rubbish, 100% trier but he was awful.
