Barnablue - I think you should correct them and tell them it's a T1, not a T-10 x

Much better to get an airport bus bus directlly to the city centre, (as the article suggests)*as the 3 of us did last week, before using a T-10,2 Zones card to get out to SC.

*(shouldn't normally take anything like 40 minutes though, unless there's very heavy crosstown traffic).

That's dedication. You must have searched for ages just to make Barna look a mug again.

Perhaps he's just a Torygraph reader?
If anyone had bothered to click on the link(and read it)they'd have seen that the(fairly short) article didn't even mention the existence of T-10 tickets.
Let alone discuss the difference between T-10 Zona 1 and T-10 2 Zones tickets.

"Metro. Barcelona’s metro is fast, easy and straightforward and covers most of the city. Maps are available from tourist offices or any metro station."

So who's the mug now? :hilarious::finger2:

(P.S. Barcelona's metro system is much better than Berlin's, where you can't even buy underground tickets with a foreign credit card.Nor as a tourist, can you buy anything more than a one day, unlimited travel card).

"Anything that mugs Barna off is good for me."

That sort of comment really sums up what you're all about.

[h=5]If you’re planning on using much public transport, invest in a T-10 (pronounced tay-dayoo), which is a pass costing €8.25 and allowing 10 journeys and can be shared between two or more people. Validate your ticket at either the metro barrier or on the machine on board buses or trams. Single tickets on metro, bus or tram are €1.45. With these, and the T-10, you can change, free of charge, between different modes of public transport for up to 1hr 15mins.[/h]

Missed that box.Terrible phonetics. While the information is correct, you often have to validate the ticket when you're leaving a station too(except at Plaza Catalunya).
At that price, they are of course, describing a T-10 1 Zona card and not a T-10 2 Zones card.:smiles:
(Incidentally, a T-10 ticket is not only valid on "metro, bus or tram" but also on RENFE (Spanish trains)which eg you can pick up from Plaza Catalunya to Cornellà to watch Espanyol).
