Thats a highly amusing line up, aslong as we win who cares.

I've been calling Petts Crab for ages

Seems like a solid line up, glad to see the defence stayed as it is as they had Owusu and Campbell in there pockets for the majority of the game last week, however i think Benno will stay on that right wing and Petts into the Centre.

0-0 away from home against a Tranmere side who haven't lost (unbeaten in six or seven I think) in a while is a good result.  From what I heard on the radio Tranmere probably edged it, but Eastwood had a couple of good chances.  Flavs was in fine form again.  Worryingly Prior seemed to injure his ankle again and may be a doubt for Friday.  Also Brian Little seemed to be having a Martin Allen moment on the touchline, whats all that about? Is there some sort of madness or condition amongst managers whos teams play Southend, like Southend induced Tourettes?

Anyway, I'm sure we will get a decent result next Friday with Gutts back and possibly with a new signing on board.

The glass is definitely half full.

Agree, plus Hunt can also fill in at CB if needed.  My only concern would be if we suffered a couple of injuries to Barrett or Sodje (touch wood

Spinner limped off to be replaced by Cheese ( again )

Hunt was warming up and looked ok

Freddy hit the bar and also dragged a shot marginally wide

Tranmere had more shots, but apart from about 2 or 3 the only danger was to the crowd behind the goal

Maher was poor again - back to passing the ball to the opposition but blaming someone else

MoM - toss up between Flavs, Sodje and Benno, but I'll give it to Bentley for getting stuck in with some meaty tackles when others stood off

Would have to agree with you, Bentley was great and ran all game long. Freddy and Wayne didn't give us many options bu the back four looked solid, Sodje in great form again. Have to say that after such a good performance against Brentford, we saw Maher back to his poor passing, poor ste piece taking, moaning worst:(
All in all decent result but not the greatest of matches.

missed Gutts today - as mentioned Maher managed to give away the ball countless times, Beno put some good tackles in, Freddie not as his best but still came closest hitting the bar, Gray badly needs a goal
