I personally felt that the huddle that the players did before the kick off was very good. It showed to people that they still together and all pulling the same way even after losing out on automatic promotion. It showed everyone that Southend United are still together and have a good team spirit.

Theory suggests that if a team does this because they feel close then it will have a good affect on performance.
Unfortunately if the team does this and a lot of the players feel they are either doing it for affect/because other teams have done it/ because they want to look good to the fans then it will have a detremental affect.
Have the boys done this at any other games this year because if not it seems to me a bit of too little too late.

I always think it's a bit cheezy but anything aimed at bringing the team together can't be all that bad.
