Team for Saturday?

With Bentley back, what would your team be for the Shrews game? Personally, if a player gets suspended (even though Bents probably didnt deserve it) I dont think he should automatically get back into the side - i.e. kind of teaching them a lesson, assuming the replacement is good enough...

Anyway...

GK: Flavs
RB: Jupp
CB: Prior (if fit) - Hunt if not
CB: Barrett
LB: Wilson
RW: Bramble (if fit) - JC if not
CM: Maher
CM: Hunt - Bentley if Prior not fit
LM: Nic-Nic
CF: Gray
CF: Eastwood

SUBS: Clarke, Eagle, Petts/Bentley, JC/Bramble, Duds

If it was a home game, I'd probably stuck Bentley back in and dropped Wilson, but as its away and we need to have a more solid look, I've gone for this...

Hhhhhmmmm... strange concept.

So the club feel that Bentley was not to blame... they appeal against the suspension... then they punish the player for the very same thing.

How does that make sense?

Judging by the match reports from Scunny and what I saw against Boston and Swans, Mr. Bentley should be driven back onto the pitch in a car of that make (which I understand might be availale, RM) across a red carpet while the Bluebelles dance a fan dance in his honour.

Seriously, though, it would be very harsh for him to lose his place on the basis of what seems to have been a very unjust decision at the farmers!

if Tilson thinks that Hunt has benefitted the side, he'll play Saturday but if not Bentley will play.
Bents was in his best spell form wise before he got sent-off so it will be interesting to see who gets the nod.

There's too many "ifs, buts and maybes" here to speculate on what the team's likely to be for Saturday. Undoubtedly, there will be one or two changes, hopefully in defensive quarters, as we have shipped 10 goals in our last 4 games.

Personally, I am not worried. We are in a healthy position with players coming back from injury and suspension and this will undoubtedly help us in the build up to the half way point (Xmas). If we're top six by then, I'll be more than happy... even if we've shipped more goals than we've scored.

Why punish Hunt?

I don't think it's the same.

Leaving Bents out even IF he's seen by Tilly as the right man and dropping Hunt because he's the man seen as 2nd choice isn't 'punishing' him.
