Lol, in my experience, it's more usually a case of teacher saying to a pupil, "I taught your mum (or dad, or even nan or grandad)!" Not the wisest move by this individual.
 
I used to have a physics teacher (whose name escapes me) who always tried to be "one of the lads". We just thought he was a bit of a ****.
 
We used to have an Irish sportsmaster when I was at Belfairs who liked to watch the boys in the showers , we used to call him that Perv B-----d , did not know the word Paedophile then .
