Question Tangs Oriental Buffet - Victoria Shopping Centre

RHB

Anyone tried Tangs in the Victoria Shopping Centre yet? If you have, what's it like?

No I haven't tried it, but they ran a fairly big and costly advert in the Echo last week, but didn't put their address on it! Doesn't seem to be a very efficient organisation.

Ok, just in case anyone is interested. Open 7 days a week, £7.99 Mon-Fri, £8.99 Sat & Sun. It's a buffet, you pay before you eat and then refill as often as you wish, starters, mains and desert. Similar concept to East and the now defunct Wok and Grill.

We gave it a try lunchtime today, it was busy and very popular with the mum and pushchair brigade. There was a good selection of courses which were hot, well cooked, and replenished quickly. 12:00-3:30, and 5:30-10:30 during the week. Provided you don't mind the occasional little one squawking blue murder then it's not bad at all.

Went there today with Mrs Jarvis.

Some of the food had no flavour at all, chicken tasted watery.

Disappointed and not a patch on Champagne restaurant along the London Road where the meals are cooked to order -- still eat as much as you like--- and the waiters don't just pounce to take away the plates the minute you have finished.

You mean they didn't wait until you had the chance to lick the plates clean and save on the washing up? How rude
