Has been released, signing him should be a priority, ok surely bigger clubs would be interested, but he enjoyed his time here so worth offering him a deal

Definitely worth a try but, however much he enjoyed his time, I can't honestly see us being able to afford him (doubt very much we were picking up all his wages), so expect him to go to a higher division.

He would be a great signing, looks good at centre half and centre mid,a very good reader of the game but i think he will go elsewhere. When we had him and Laird with Timlin our midfield was very strong, maybe the best in the league.

Prior to DCanio leaving Swindon, heard Tam had signed pre-contract agreement with them. But with change of manager and board we might have a chance. But would he want to step down to Lge 2?

Really? The rumour on here was that a move to Brentford had been all but agreed.

I'd be surprised if we kept hold of him. Brown wants to bring in his own signings (hence Dave Penney being brought in) and will probably want to spend the money that Tam would want elsewhere - especially if all the players who have been offered new contracts end up signing.

Would agree - but would like the Tam Mk 1 to return (not the Mk 2)

I'd rather see Tam partnered with a real midfielder than have to take responsibility for a mad poor-disciplined Frenchman.

You can sign a pre contract somewhere else onece your into the last 6 months of your contract

That doesnt apply to domestic moves though? I thought it had already been clarified that the earliest you can do it is a month before the end of the contract.

If Ive missed something that shows otherwise by all means link it.

Not a chance. He will be in league 1 at the lowest.

Orient would love him back, and I'm sure he would rather go back there than us (if money was equal)

Bit of an unfair reference that one IMHO, when Tam was paired with Laird (who he had previously played with at Millwall) they had a great understanding and worked superbly as a partnership along with Timlin. When Tam returned Timlin and Laird were injured and he had the misfortune of being paired with Mohsni.

Enough said.

Would love him to sign but realistically no chance unles she prepared to take a huge wage drop

A wage drop from zero you mean? - he's been released.

If you are saying he can only play well when he is playing with good players, then I'm not sure I'd want him back.

That would go for most players. Stick any central midfielder, or defender, in with a poor partner and he wont be as effective.

Anyone who has to play with Mohsni in the middle, a player with no discipline, or to be honest clue as to what he is supposed to do, is going to have to play out of his skin to stand out.

Tam is far far better than league two, we would be lucky to get him, and I doubt we will.
