Right ok so we lost 3-1 to Palace, now we all knew this was going to be a great test and for the first half, we showed that we CAN play at this level! Second half I feel we did get a bit cocky and were punished for it, with Leon Court showing just why he is worth his 1 million price tag! But we have to take this game into perspective...

I bet alot of you felt really down cause we lost, I did to but over the last 2 seasons we have been spoilt and to lose a game 3-1 you feel like we have thrown everything away, but I would rather lose 3-1 to Palace then lose at places like Rochdale, we have come so far in the last 3 years and now the fun and games are over we now need to regroup brush this result off and look forward to try and get somthing from QPR.
JCR for me was MOTM he was all over that pitch bursting with pace right up untill full time, I personaly think he will do well in this league for us.

anyway people CHIN UP! forget about this and lets look forward to saturday where I think we will have a much better chance of getting a result!

Really???

Hull got a good deal for him then, cause in my eyes he didn't look worth that price and never will. On the ground we had the beating of him all day!

But no way in the world is he worth £1 Million!

I listened to the game on the radio, and although we lost the game 3-1 i was happy with the performance and am now slightly more reassured about our competence at this level.

1st half it sounded like we more than matched them and carved them up on a few occasions, with Kiraly stopping Gutts from 8 yards out. 2nd Half we conceded 2 sloppy goals from set pieces (After seeing the goals on SSN, where were the men on the posts?) and a goal that looked offside...

Come away happy from this defeat... Palace WILL be pushing for the Play-Offs and in reality we shouldn't really have had the beating off them in the first half, but the fact is we did and proved what a good footballing side we are.

Its the morning after the night before and yes, I am down hearted that we lost a game that we were winning at half time. However, I am immensely proud of the performance. We were the better team in the first half and rightly went in ahead. Okay so we were taught a lesson on how not to defend corners in that crazy ten minute spell. Perhaps it is now time for Clarke on Saturday. Spinner showed his shortcomings a little last night and with Clarke raring to go, perhaps we need to change that. What I am trying to say is that we know we are not going to win this league but we gave footballing leson to a team who might do for 45 minutes last night. Stand tall, be proud and well done all those who came along. A good showing and good noise!!! COME ON YOU BLUES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Nice one. Says everything that I haven't got time to say myself.

Apart from JCR as MOM, still not sure about him...

Keep the faith, chaps. Nothing to fear if you play well and get beat. That's football. It's when you play sh!t and lose that the trouble starts.

As Freddy says in the Echo, we were the better team. I think he is right. Palce were nothing special, functional at best given the squad they've got. But what do you expect from Peter Taylor, one of the most over rated managers ever.

Whilst I am disappointed that we lost this game having scored first, I was also delighted that we prevented Palace from scoring in open play, because it proves that there was little wrong with our team's shape or our tactics.

What the match proved was that we have a big weakness with setpieces, but if that was all that was wrong with our play, then it leaves little else to worry about. Tilson & Brush can work on that, to ensure we improve greatly before we face QPR, who will no doubt have noticed the ease by which victory was turned into defeat.

I should think Crystal Palace have more lessons to learn after this game than we do to be honest. I can't see them being a top 6 side, unless they can be more threatening from open play (which includes staying onside!!!).

Well done to our lads. We'll be more than ok come the end of the season if we play for 90 minutes like we did in the first half.
