t-shirts and flags freebies for the spurs queue

bluesbloke

Schoolboy
that was a seriously impressive stampede in the car park today for the freebies.

what i wanna know is...who 'collected' the most? one couple kept dropping their 'share' of shirts as they made their way back to their spot in the queue. they must've had at least 20 between them!

good to see the enthusiasm...especially when it was something for nothing!

at lunchtime today, nina, the marketing lass, and a colleague of hers wheeled out boxes of 'support the stadium' car flags and t-shirts to give to the people in the queue as freebies.

i tell you, it was like food parcels being delivered to a 3rd world country!

people were literally taking armfuls of shirts and flags and piling them in their car boots.

the comments i heard from the people around me in the queue...most were not impressed!

It really was a joke, I saw one woman clutching about 10 - 15 shirts. It was ridiculous and yet funny at the same time.

Btw I got myself one car flag. I'm not a ponce.

actually i've got a confession. i got a flag today too...but i already had one from saturday!

oh well, hell here i come...

It's all well and good if people actually use the flags etc..

I haven't seen many cars sporting them to be honest. (I am flying the flag proudly by the way)

Aye, I agree with you but it was a sight to be hold. The poor girls handing out the gear didn't know what was about to hit them.

i heard a couple of blokes in front of me offering to help them out if the going got too tough for them...but they were almost flipping a coin as to which one to save first!

bit harsh...

Can't think why Geoff King has such a low opinion of us football fan types!

Jeez... I'm actually embarrassed reading this!

I have to agree that Nina looked pretty tasty, after spending just under five hours in the queue she raised my spirits! The mad scramble for the tee shirts was hilarious!

The tee shirts are quite a good marketing idea, it's just a shame that nobody will be wearing them for about four months as it's too cold! I think I'll wear my mine to the gym, can't think of any other places I'll be wearing it this winter though...

Bloody hell, standing out in the cold does funny things to you doesn't it?!!!!!

She's about as tasty as a pint of milk that has been sitting in the sun for a week!

This is just another club ****-up. They obviously didn't take the health and safety of our supporters into consideration. A stampede for free items could injure our fans and this shows how clueless the club is. This is one example as to why players don't want to come to us on loan. Tilson has lost the plot allowing this to happen.
