SZ needs you!

All,

a quick call to arms to the SZ faithful. The board is of course nothing without contributions from the users. We're very lucky to have stuff like the Slippery Column, Napster's interviews and DODTS's tales from his time supporting the club.

However, there is always room for more. If you fancy contributing - be it a story about a great away trip or a tale about one of our players or indeed anything SUFC related - PM me or mail james@shrimperzone.com.

Also, if anyone has any training ground pics of the players they don't mind contributing, that too would be great. We've got pics of most of the first team squad for the front page, but it's good to keep things fresh.

I misread that at first, thought you were referring to his snaking tales from his pre-grow up, have babies and talk about cooking stage.

I could have given a weekly update on what it's like to live with two female house mates who like to have friends stay over however one has moved out already (objected to the camera) so it won't be as exciting now.

I was going to bring this up actually.
Ignoring the fact he's not flavour of the month on here, I've really bought into Jamie Oliver's latest Ministry of Food "pass it on" ideas.

Surely we could recreate a similar sort of pyramid on here? People post up their favourite simple recipes* then users report back on how they found them and if they liked them get 2 non-zoners to teach the recipe too, who each then pass on to 2 other people and so on & so on!

(* - as long as it's not curry/Chinese food for Southminster! ;))

Getting back on topic, in terms of football/SUFC, I might put my mind to some articles for the Zone. It might help my portfolio for getting onto my Journalism degree if I've got some more recent contributions rather than my couple of year old match reports.

Bring back Callan's Interview with a Zoner!!

Failing that, I was going to suggest a slight alternative a while back...sort of an 'Interview with an exile': Once a week put forward a set of questions to an exiled member of SZ for here...might get some good stories of memorable trips, how they feel about being so far away from the Blues, what colour are Aberdeen Shrimpers lucky boxers etc. etc.
