Swansea away.......

Looking at the football league grounds web site, it states that there is only residential parking around the ground and that supporters are advised to take park & ride.

What's everyone doing?
Any ideas?

Grim.

It costs £5 to use the park and ride by the way.

Two miles.

"Swansea High Street Station is on the main line route from London Paddington. It is about two miles from the stadium. Regular local bus services (every ten minutes: routes 4, 4a, 120, 122, 125, 132) and taxis (around £3.50) are available from the train station to the stadium. Otherwise if you have time on your hands and wish to embark on the 25-30 minute walk, then as you come out of the station turn right and go up the High Street. At the traffic lights turn right into Neath Road. Proceed straight along Neath Road and you will eventually reach the stadium on your right. "

Don't fancy walking down swansea with my southend shirt knowing what swansea fans are like! Taxi seems a good bet

Probably have tgo use the park and ride, don't trust the swansea fans not to beat the car up if I park in the town and get the bus.

I'm pretty sure that Llansamlet station is closer to the new stadium than Swansea mainline. However, i'm not sure how many intercity trains actually stop there.

There is a big B&Q nearby, but I believe they operate wheel clamps on matchdays, so I wouldn't advise that one

Serious post.

I went to Swansea this season, When you come out the away end there are buses waiting for away fans only that take you out to the park & ride.
There is a pub by the roundabout between the ground and the park and ride, Swansea fans were trying to block the road and run across the middle of the roundabout towards the buses as the bus went around anticlockwise.
Had a laugh watching Police with sticks drawn chasing them away.
Problem is Swansea fans know who you are when you get there to the car park, only a little bit dodgy but the Police seamed to outnumber the fans.
P.s The ground is non smoking, even under the stands and the stewards will happily chuck you out.
Bloody long way to go to get chucked out.

We will hopefully take about 2,000 fans to Swansea of which 1,250 will probably be using the Park & Ride so we might even outnumber any Swansea idiots looking for trouble!

Very unlikely all the fans they brought down here where idiots looking 4 trouble hate to think how many they will have there.

The only parking at the ground is for away supporters offical caches and Police vans / horse boxs / dog units etc.
The buses to the Park & ride will be next to the supporters coaches right outside the turnstilles.

It will be interesting to see how Swansea handle 2,000 away fans.

The most away fans that they have had so far has only been about 1,200. I know 2,000 is not a massive amount but if you think about it 1,200 Southend fans will be using the Park & Ride, that is 15 double decker buses full. I doubt they will have 15 Double decker buses for us and will operate a few buses only?

Well said, its safe to say Swansea will have many hundreds, if not thousands of little scrot bags about the place looking for trouble that day, thats a given!...

So England shirts and St Georges attire it is then....

Or, if your really daring, sling on a Cardiff City shirt, that should do the trick
