There is no grantees that Walker would have scored. Can't blame it all on that touch.

If only we had not lost our first two games of the season...

Bloody hell, whatever happens from here on in it has been a brilliant campaign, entertaining football, decent crowds, a well balanced classy squad and a clear vision of the future now for Southend with the planning permission granted for the new ground.

What will be wil be regarding going up but we are certainly the form team at the moment who need to fear no-one now - Leeds, Forest, Donny, whoever, bring em on.

Or the way I like to put it, if 1000 people buy ten tickets every week from the age of 16 to 65 then 1 of them will probably win the lottery once in that time having spent £25m collectively.

Then again, I also like that the odds of anyone winning is so remote as to be virtually impossible yet someone almost always wins it!

Certainly as far as missed opportunities go, I don't think you can pin one on James Walker as the reason we aren't pushing for promotion. Across 46 games, small incidents will probably only cost you a point and you have to be careful not to assume they are all down to luck. We just played too poorly for too long to have any expectations of automatics but ti certainly has made for good entertainment.

I'm really looking forward to all the League One playoff games. I think it could be great viewing regardless of what level we're involved until.
