I live in a shared ownership place with my wife and we want to staircase to 100%. We need a valuation, so I need a RICS-qualified surveyor. Anyone got any ideas how to pick between them? There's loads of them around and I don't know how to choose. Any ideas?

i should add i got it valued a year ago. but the valuation was too high, couldn't sell it. so i really need a decent one

I don’t believe David is a registered valuer. Which you may need for a staircase valuation.

Also there is some recent updated guidance on the Red Book and Discounted Cash Flow which Id expect any decent valuer to know. I’ll message you
