Mid-table - Southend United are tipped to finish 13th (Image: Matt Wilkinson/Focus Images Ltd)

SOUTHEND United will finish the National League season in 13th place, according to the BonusCodeBets SuperComputer.

The Shrimpers are currently 14th in the table but are being backed to move up a place before the campaign ends.

Elsewhere, Forest Green Rovers are being tipped to win the title and make an instant return to the EFL.

Having suffered consecutive relegations, seeing them drop from League One to the fifth tier within the space of just two years, it is predicted Steve Coterill's side will edge out Barnet in the National League title race by just three points.

The SuperCompter predicts Rovers will finish first with 103 points, ahead of Dean Brennan's side with 100 in second.

Rochdale will also qualify for the play-off semi-finals by finishing third.

Too early in the season for this garbage.

Christmas period, which always sorts the league out in some respects, transfers, especially for us with the long awaited month of January and injuries, just to mention a few things that can throw plans out for the season or change a direction.

Leave this stuff to Easter time ish, the Echo would be well advised.

Absolutely no chance that 5 teams finish with more than 90 points! Nor will 4 teams score more than 90 goals. Don’t need a super computer to know that.

"Super computer" they've just worked out the average points and goals scored against each opposition and worked it all out as an average

A child with a basic understanding of maths could make a prediction with similar success 😂

Just picked out 2 clubs, Rochdale and Hartlepool.

Rochdale (actual) Played 19 Points 33 Average 1.73 points per game
Rochdale (projected remaining) Played 27 Points 64 Average 2.37 points per game
Rochdale expected to win 20, draw 4 and lose 3 of their remaining games.

Hartlepool (actual) Played 21 Points 29 Average 1.38 points per game
Hartlepool (projected remaining) Played 25 Points 55 Average 2.20 points per game
Hartlepool expected to win 18, draw 1 and lose 6 of their remaining games.

Stewart, I think your comment was way too mild.

I have never seen such crap probably since I last bought the Echo.

Just done that too ,

Gateshead are only going to pick up 1.12 Points per game
currently 38 from 21 - 1.81 PPG
Prediction 66 points , from 46 so thats 28 points from the next 25 Games

FGR are going to have to get 2.35 PPG for the next 26 games (currently 2.1) to get to 103 . Thats 61 points from 26 games ..Thats only dropping points in 6 games ,

That said it does have us about right (current PPG 1.24 picking up to 1.40 for the last 25 games)

well if we finish 13th ,then honestly Maher has to go ,we are at present 5 points off the playoff places , that super computer says we will finish 23 points off the playoff places , thats one hell of a drop off ,especially as i believe we will have incomings etc in January to strengthen the team .
