Not a lot happening at the moment. Just as expected really given that so many players, agents, managers, chief executives, chairmen, public relations officers etcetera are having a break.
I look back with fondness on the time when the Southend United website featured a tractor on the pitch for week after week. Yes - the good old days. What a marvellous picture that was.
And I see that Exeter are taking a short term loan - well, we know all about cash flow issues during this time of the year and I won't go and spoil it by mentioning Khinsasa, Zaire or their liquid refreshments appearing at Roots Hall.
Does anyone else think it was strange that Zaire managed to get to the World Cup in the 1970s? It all seemed rather exotic at the time.
