Manager⭐🦐
Following on from today's appointment of Lee Bradbury as Bournemouth's new manager on a permanent basis it set me thinking; are Southend the biggest providers of ex-players who are currently managers in the Football League?

We currently have:-

Bournemouth - Lee Bradbury
Bradford - Peter Taylor
Charlton - Chris Powell
Crystal Palace - Dougie Freedman
Lincoln - Steve Tilson

And if he hadn't recently got sacked we would have had a sixth with Mark Stimson at Barnet!

5 out of the current 72, (6.9%), Football League managers must be pretty close to a record I would have thought and quite impressive for a 'small' club.

Hmmn well 3 of them have played for Crystal Palace too...add in Alan Irvine, Paul Dickov and Keith Millen and that's 6 off the top of my head oh and Alan Pardew if we're counting Premiershite teams. Reckon Bournemouth and Watford might be quite high up too, but can't be arsed too look it up - I'll leave it to the statto's!

As Lee Bradbury played for 10 League sides in addition to us (not to mention Cowes Sports), I'm not sure we can take all the credit for "providing" him into management !
