Pretty decent article that.

It’s come to the time where we would have to move some people on to bring people in. We’re looking at that at this minute,’ he said.
‘We’re looking at a lot of people on loan as well to bulk up the squad. Until I can financially turn over some players we’re going to have to soldier on.’

N'Diaye is presumably one, but who else will he be looking to "turn over"?

This little snippet stood out for me. " Southend are set to move in to a new 22,000-seater stadium in 2015".

Is this true ?

"‘There’s been obviously the finances of the club for a wee spell were a bit rocky, but they’re much better now, so that’s a great benefit."

Having already had a late payment penalty from HMRC this summer I have to question this.

possible responses...

a) FOUR YEARS! Bloody hell that's a long time
b) Ha! It'll never happen.

Anyone got a time machine I can borrow to go and find out the answer?

Well if you've gone from having no money having enough to pay something albeit a few days late, I would call that "much better".

Just depends on the how you would class "much better" I guess...

We've gone from being taken to court and just meeting a deadline after some negotiations with Sainsbury's to being only a day or two late. That is certainly an improvement. However, I would say things are "far less bad", rather than "much better".

However much I love them both, we need to sell Grant, or Kane.

Yes, 2 crabs down the cockle sheds worth about a tenner. Grant decent when he's putting in 120% and not falling over like a big girl, and Ferdy a much overated youngster that would't know how to go forward if he tried. Stlll, both fit in well with the ultra defensive Sturrock!

Interestingly it also said in the Accrington programme that we are due to move into the new ground in 2015 - wonder if they both got that info from the same source?

Wouldn't say they are the most crab like players we've ever had, but fair enough! Kane has the weird ability of being in the right place at the right time to break up play, he also scored a few last year, personally thought he'd been getting forward a bit more! Grant also does that but in a more attacking way. When Grant is on fire he's very good! But we need to sell one to get some dough in!

your in love with 2 geezers, perhaps your name should be changed 2 hand bag dave....................

HA!
Get out of it!

It frustrates me that Sturrock talks so much sense - it certainly hasn't translated into his job over the last few weeks.
