Stuart O'Keefe

About time he got some game time, seems to never really had a decent run out for Palace. It will be interesting to see how he gets on, he als links up with Peter Clarke.

It is crazy that he's 23 with not even 50 games in total, and no discernible injuries.

Championship Blackpool or League Two Southend who never paid his wages last time he was with us would have been a tough call for the young man.

I can see why joining Blackpool is the more attractive offer, just would have liked to see him in a Southend shirt once again.

Massively overrated in my opinion.

Couldn't believe it at the time that Palace actually wanted him, he never showed THAT much promise... Payne on the other hand...

Really? Pretty much everyone who's worked with O'Keefe has waxed lyrical about him and plenty of Palace supporters I know, while doubtful of his ability as a Premier League player, are confident he's more than capable of holding his own in the Championship.

Great PL goal against Sunderland.

He played like 10 games for our first team and didn't look special. Leonard is a similar age and better in my opinion. He just got a lucky break.

hmmmm Leonard having quiet season so far and he plays against league 2 opposition, O'Keefe was 18/19 when he made his debut

O Keefe is a real talent and I think that we knew that when we had him. Shame we didn't keep him longer.

Agreed, let's not forget Leonard was average at best in his first season, yes he's improved massively but only given the chance to play on a regular basis. O'keefe was never given a chance even in the shambolic final half season under Tilson.

Due to the financial circumstances at the end of that season I doubt he'd of stayed whatever happened. However he definitely should have been given more of a chance especially remembering how bad Christophe and McCormack were that year :nope:.
