Strikers( lack of )v Bristol Rovers

I sincerely hope MacDonald and Hooper will start up front. It's time they were both given a go together, and at least both can actually run!

Give Lindie a run out. He has pace & can control the ball, unlike some our options upfront. Shame we haven't recalled Foran. At least he knows how to score goals, when given the chance to start!

I think MacDonald was poor today, never seemed to do anything worth noting, playing long balls up to him though was a pretty pointless tactic.

There's optimism for you!

It's called realism my friend and just an honest assessment ,as we have just gone back to having the worst Strikefoce in the division .Try watching them up North when they manage just One Shot on target .
Hang on to your hats guys ,we are well and truly in freefall and will very much regret not going the extra mile for Leon Clarke .

Agree 100%. All of T&Bs signings up front have had time and the oppotunity to become regulars and with the exception of Clarke have failed to impress this season (to put it mildly). Time to throw in the new guy and give a few of the juniors a chance against D&R and create a bit of interest in a season that is rappidly going down the pan.

Agree, i think he's turning into a Harrold, works hard but has no end product. He's not fast, can't run with the ball and has no strength. I think he's an average League 2 player.

MacDonald will get goals given service, of that I'm sure. Unfortunately, there is a distinct lack of creativity and ideas going forwards at the moment.

It is all very good saying we're trying to bring 2 new strikers in, but what's the point if nothing of note is getting sent into them. Hoofing the ball forward to 5ft 9in MacDonald isn't the answer as anyone with one brain cell should realise.

i thought that both strikers done well today and the only reason nobody saw it was because they had no support there was many a time when either morgan or macdonald had the ball up front and were left to do about 4 defenders on their own because of the lack of support, and considering their circumstances i believe they done well. I couldnt believe it when Morgan got booed off the pitch when subbed some people really need to grow up because he was one of a few players that really loooked like they wanted to win the game today and did everything he could to try and get us a goal at least

From my seat in the SU I really didn't notice Morgan getting booed by anyone & I was actually suprised how generous his reception was, expecting there to be an adverse reaction.

However, to get anything out of Morgan & MacDonald you need to combine them somehow. Morgan has a turn of pace, at times a reasonable touch but no footballing brain at all & doesn't anticipate anything. MacDonald has in my opinion not got the physical qualities to suceed at this level but does have a much better touch & idea of where to be & what to do, but he's not either big or quick enough to achieve it. I think Charlie is a really really good, honest trier of a footballer but he's simply missing a bit of size or pace to make it. Shame!
