Just some vague information:

Lee Barnard Played 15 (4) Scored 5 Ratio of: 1 goal every 3 games starting, 1 goal every 3.8 games including sub apps. Over the season would score: 15 goals.

James Walker Played 8 (9) Scored 4 Ratio of: 1 goal every 2 games starting, 1 goal every 4.25 games including sub apps. Over the season would score: 23 goals.

Alex Revell Played 23 (5) Scored 4 Ratio of: 1 goal every 5.75 games starting, 1 goal every 7 games including sub apps. Over the season would score: 8 goals.

Dougie Freedman Played 8 (3) Scored 4 Ratio of: 1 goal every 2 games starting, 1 goal every 2.75 games including sub apps. Over the season would score: 23 goals.

Francis Laurent Played 7 (5) Scored 4 Ratio of: 1 goal every 1.75 games starting, 1 goal every 3 games including sub apps. Over the season would score: 26 goals.

Interesting stats, I also think it would be interesting to know which midfield set-up has generated the most goals. If we think of every midfield quartet we've had, and then calculate games and goals it might be quite revealing

Any chance of the numbers of goals scored for striking partnerships ?

I would guess that most have scored playing alongside Revs

So what we're saying is that if our strikers could stay fit and get a bit of decent on the floor service, we'd be doing pretty good...

Thank you....so for all the Walker bashers on here, and I know the stats aren't 100% guaranteed accurate, Walker seems to be the joint 2nd most prolific striker this season....

Let's all get off his back and get behind him!!!

Ok I've done some counting....

Over the season, including cup games, we have had 20 different midfield lineups, with 13 different players.

Grant
Christophe
Moussa
Stanislas
Betsy
McCormack
Milsom
Francis
Scannell
Kanu
Bailey
Walker
Sawyer

The only midfield setup to be played more than twice this season was:
Betsy, Sawyer, Christophe, Kanu. Played together 7 times and generated 15 goals

Another notable midfield setup was Betsy, Sawyer, Christpohe, Walker, playing together twice and generating 5 goals

Again, strange that lots of fans knock Betsy but he seems to be in the midfield that has generated the most goals!!

Funny old game!!

played 22 games, we've score 35 goals with him. Thats out of a season where we've played 32 games and scored 42 goals, so I would suggest that he has been a major contributor to our goal scoring (as his assist stats show). In the 10 games he didn't play we only scored 7 goals

So the 2 players that fans seem to be knocking the most are the ones that seem to have some of the best stats!!!!

I agree, although it's important not to over attribute our success on one player... this is football, where there are a million and one factors that affect our performances. However based on both stats, and the fact that for all Betsy's short-comings, he has a knack of setting up goals... he would currently be in the team if I was manager.

I have not checked your stats but if Walker scores every 4.25 games and you predict he could score 23 for the season, that means he would be playing in more than 97 matches. Before people start believing he is the greatest striker we've ever had, I think you should revise your statistics.

Simple explanation - Betsy played all of the games when we had our strongest loanees playing and everything in the garden was Rosy. Kevin Betsy is just one of a number of signed players who have disappointed this season. Mr. Martin needs to do something PDQ or we are going down!!

Was done on starts as well.

Heres their predicted total over a season (46 league games) including sub apps-

Lee Barnard- 12 goals.
James Walker- 11 goals.

Alex Revell- 7 goals.
Dougie Freedman- 17 goals.
Francis Laurent- 15 goals.
