No, if the demand is there for home fans the away fans will only be given 1,200 tickets and Southend fans can have the rest of the North Bank as per last season. Ticket sales for the Stoke game I would imagine have been pretty slow so they have decided to give Stoke the whole of the North Bank. This I think will be the case for most of our home games this season.

What this also means is that the NW corner will now not be available to Southend fans so we will probably only sell up to block X. This means there is only room for 8,500 Southend fans, but it would seem that this is more than enough. Bit dissapointing really we have some of the lowest priced tickets in the Championship and it looks like once again the Southend public may not be that interested. Could be the time of the year lots of people on holiday?

Yeah jeff, i reckon as its still the holiday season it wont pick up till september... They have only been giving 2,000 tho havent they?

Yeah, Stoke have 'only' been given 2,000 but that means due to segregation Southend fans can't use the NW corner.  Same thing will happen for the Sunderland game as well I bet.

You are on here late Jeff, have you got an on-line Doris on the go

But with only a week to go i don't think they'll shift another 700 tickets let alone 1500.

Lets face it the club just don't want the hassle of keeping fans apart. So it will be North Bank for away fans only.

Or it could be, with the Family Enclosure completely sold out to season ticket holders (as per the ticket office on Wednesday) that families, who were paying £18 per pair of adult and child tickets on a match-to-match basis, were now being asked for £30?

Cheap or not, that is a steep rise, especially if family commitments leave their leisure budget low.  I wouldn't blame them one iota if they decided a 67% increase was too much for them.

To be honest some grotty northern tramps money is as good as mine (Altough not as hard earned I am sure).

The clubs job is to make sure as much of the Hall as possible if full and for the maximum revenue. If Stoke can bring 2000 down and we cant sell the seats then why not let them have them.

If the additonal revenue helps to bring in a Aggogo or Robinson type then I am fine with it.

Family tickets still available on-line for the Stoke game £20 for 1 Adult & 1 child.

We might just scrape a 10,000 crowd if Stoke can sell most of their allocation.

There are 2 seats left in the family stand West, so the remainder will be in the South Lower. The family section is too small.

I supose its a tough call for the club.

On one side they want familys to come in as they are the support of tomorrow

However on the flip side familys do get in cheap and baring in mind over half the ground is now S/T holders I am sure there will be times this season we will sell out and we do need to sell out to as many adults as possible.

I am wondering if these tickets were released by us on a guaranteed payment ? It happens a lot that if an extra allocation is required then they are all no longer on a sale or return basis, could be good for us if Stoke have to stump up for 2000 tickets regardless of how many they bring with them.

I heard that because of the increased prices, and expected match-day income we only need to have a capacity of around 5,500 to break even, and everything else is classed as profit

Seeing that there are 6,500 ST's this season, the figure seems a bit low to me... Although increased executive income as well as Sponsors i can see how the figure could be true.
