Steve to do a Taylor?

Bluesmanager

I'm a Barbie Girl
With speculation (and Taylor saying Mclaren would be right to sack him as U21s boss) that Taylor is about to lose his job in the England setup, should Tilly get offered the job, do you think he would do it?

I have been saying the same for a while. Tilly will be involved in some way - his reputation gets greater all the time.

Doesn't McLaren want a Full-Time U21 manager though?
Hence why Taylor might be out of the door?
Not good for us if that's true & he's considered Tilly!

Exactly that, which is why Spud is probably on his bike.

Don't think Tilly would walk out on us - he has come too far. As said in another thread, I wouldn't be surprised to see him in a coaching role of some capacityif not top dog. Would be great for us as the Simon Francis signing proved.

...in which case Tilly would be crazy to take it. Like Eastwood, this is an important season for Steve Tilson. Do well at Championship level and the options will come thick and fast (alongside the option of sticking with the Blues as they build a new stadium and push for a place in the Premiership)

Why would anyone want to take on the U21s full time unless they were a coach with ambitions on international management?

Tilson wouldnt give up Southend to go to U21 full time.

It would be good if he could be involved at some level though.
