It was quoted in todays Sun that the aforementioned player wants to play one more league game to bring his total league apperances up to 1,000, and he would play for free.

Given our current lack of goals, and our apparent lack of money, combined with our inability to attract players of any name, surely this is worth a risk?

Claridge is one of my alltime favourite players and his autobiography is one of the best I have read.
