Just checked - that run was 14 in the league, 17 if you include the three LDV ties we played in that spell.

19 would be sweeter Al!

very true Paul!

I was saying to my dad yesterday under Tilson when we have a settled side we're capable of putting an unbeaten streak together. We had a good unbeaten spell in L2 (not sure how many), L1 and now this season.

At least a certain member of your extended family has proved she can no longer be considered a jinx!

Come & say hello on Saturday! Your Dad seemed to really know what he was on about at Carlisle.

indeed, it's about time we got a result when she was there ;)

Will definitely say hello on Saturday mate. My dad is a 40-year SUFC veteran and is knowledgeable about pretty much everything!

Just checked - not 1933 but 1931, unbeaten in the first 15 league games, then 2 wins in 13 (including 6 straight defeats - in total W2 D1 L10) followed by 16 without defeat including the first 2 games of the 1932/3 season.

I'm just too good to you!

I recall seeing that season from looking back through the record books a few years back. What a strange season that was!

Ta Rob.... :) So 15 is the record?

And to think that our season nearly began with most consecutive league defeats (including defeats at end of 6/7) - I think the win against Millwall avoided that record

The 17 match run in 04/05 is our longest in all competitions.

If this run continues, we'd beat that at Wembley.....

can't remember all in 04/05..
but have the teams been better on this run or were the ones back then better?
any thoughts?
