Question Stanislas Could he sign for us permanently?

I reckon he could, i feel that he's within our price range and with him and Dan Harding? down the left it'd be a decent pairing. Even if Harding goes i reckon that Herd did brilliantly and will fit in really well. Deserves more first team chances.

Lets just have a look at him long term not just after playing a poor Luton side, looks promising though a certainly has flair and pace, doubt the Hammers would want to lose him yet.

!

More than decent - bliming fantatic!

I thought Stanislas was excellent, at only 19 he could be a real star.....best winger under the Tilson regime - even above Gower.

Yeah but he said himself he wants to get some games under his belt and he wants to make it as West Ham, not sure he will want to sign, could be wrong.

If the Hammers didn't want to lose him they would've involved him in the first team and not sent him out on loan.

Stansias Could he sign for us permanently?

Can I be the first pedant to point out the guy's name is Stanislas? Sounds like it was an impressive debut...

He had a good game but lets see him up against some L1 opposition before getting too excited. Personally, I thought Herd was just as impressive and our left side looked stronger than our right today (because of Francis' mistakes)

Not really, I see they have sent out James Tompkins as well, premier league teams send out youngsters for experiance, maybe he wont make it but Stanislas wants to make it at West Ham, if when he goes back it's clear he is going nowhere there then he might consider it.

Don't forget we also have Milsom in on the left wing who also impressed last week. Just because Stanislas scored twice against Luton doesn't necessarily mean he's better, we haven't really had the chance to judge.

If we get either of these two then I'd be very happy, and I've not even seen them play yet. I guess we'd do well to get one of the three left wingers we've had on loan, all long shots but hopefully we can pull one off.

I dont think we have any chance of signing him...these premiership clubs send their younger players out for the experience and then breed them into the first team though the researves. JFC is a diffrent prospect as he isnt really that young anymore, if he was going to make it at the top level he would need to be braking into that Pompey first team this season or the next, and thats why i think he seems like we might sign him permanantly.

Everytime a loanee does well the same question comes up. Firstly, it was one game, yes impressive but Luton are going to be in the Conference next season. Also, West Ham arent a club with a lot of money to spend so they will look to their youths I imagine. If the kid is ambitious he will want to stay at West Ham and will be encouraged by the likes of Sears, Tomkins and Collison getting a chance in the first team.

Well it is a big statement seeing as we have only seem him play once. Lets not pass a real judgement untill we have seen him play a few more times. Leicester are a big team and if he plays against them we shall see what he really is like.

I am still reserving judgement for him. If he plays a decent game against Leicester next week and a good one against Huddersfield and Hartlepool then I will be happy. Harding would be a great signing and he could become Herd's tutor.
