Squad Numbers for 2008/09

Haven't seen the list of the squad numbers for the new season yet. Does anybody know when these are being "made public" because they have obviously been allocated already judging by the fact that a lot of the players were writing these when signing their autographs for me at the Meet The Blues Day yesterday and James Lindie actually told me that he has been given a 1st team squad number this season.

The official site still has last years squad numbers displayed. Why the delay if these are actually already known?

I would imagine because they are hoping for a "proper" no. 3 and no. 7 before they are released. More to the point when are the going to announce captain and vice? I'm convinced it's going to be Macca as Vice now, the picture of him on the OS he's wearing the band, and he was at Canvey over Clarkey.

I would imagine the reason we havent made it official yet is because our squad isnt finalised and numbers are likely to change.

It says on the club shop website that if you get your shirt printed with a players name you do so at you're own risk as numbers are subject to change.

Thats why i've held off getting my shirt printed yet because I want to get Scannell but i hope he takes number 7 rather than 12

O'Keefe and Forshaw have been given first team squad numbers for the new season, as I'm sure we could've guessed, Herd has.

I just see the official squad numbers are on the site now, its scarey 19 players and 3 of those are goalkeepers....only 16 outfield players as of the moment

interesting to see scannel's not been given the number 7 shirt. obv looking to still get a winger in then! and 3 still vacant for the left back...when he/she finally arrives.

Foran gets 22 then, so looks as if he could be sticking around?!??!?! Although Harrold has got a squad number and is listed so prob don't mean anything!

16 outfield players isn't particularly worrying, we only need to play ten of those at a time and use three as subs so we are covered for minor injury crisis.

Hopefully Tilly can work the loan market again to get us the extra numbers in cheaply.
