I know there were a number of Zoners one way or another last night, and thought I would just say what a good evening the Club put on. Danny Macklin's first one and it's certainly the best I've been to...food, as always, was very good too.

Always think it's good to see the players relax and enjoy a few drinks - some more than others, it has to be said!!! :winking:

We were sat with Jack Payne, Anthony Wordsworth and Michael Timlin who were all good value, Tims was an excellent host - his pocket must be considerably lighter this morning with the number of people he brought drinks for throughout the evening.

For those who wondered, we found out that the Club actually did their training on the way to Blackpool at Bolton :omg:

I'm sure there's plenty of photos kicking about - here's Kev and I with Woody, who we spent ages chatting to after finding out that he's a huge fan of The Rifles as well!

In keeping with last year, the event seems to be planned to coincide in the immediate aftermath of a massive downer - Morecambe away last year and Blackpool away this year.

He was brilliant with my kids at the MTBD in the summer too. It's good to see that the players take this kind of thing seriously, or at least look like they do.

Haha yeah I think Timlin was spreading himself about everywhere getting involved with everyone. Fair play, that's exactly what you want from players at an event like that. Later in the night I think he was Glen Kamara's official advisor on the blackjack table
