Spencer Prior

Ron Manager

formerly Libertine
Spinner is appearing as a co-commentator and pundit on a show called Total Football on Fox Sports (the equivalent of Sky) in Australia.

According to my sources he mentioned on there that he'd like to play for an Aussie club. However considering their A-League plays through the Oz summer I couldn't see him having the legs for it.

Still, an absolute Shrimpers Legend who looks like he's enjoying life at the moment.

Spinner told me at the Sponsors Evening that he was offered the opportunity to play for Sydney FC, whilst Terry Butcher was still manager there!! He reckoned he could play until he was about 40, knowing what the standard was like!

Having watched some A-League games I'd say he's under estimating the standard a bit. It's at least League 1 standard and played at a fair tempo. Considering the heat I would really doubt if Spinner would last the pace. Ability wise of course he's good enough though.

Yeah I wasin Oz a couple of weeks back and saw a Fox Sports coverage of a premiership game and Spinner was a pundit on that. Great to see an SUFC legend when Im so far from home.

Just got back from Oz and pleased to report Spinner's Saturday night forays are improving from early efforts, apparently. I heard his tooth fell out when chomping on a biscuit during a commercail break, much to the other commentators amusement!! Robbie Slater, who does it with him, is a totally clueless donut, so should make our Spinner look good!!
