hello brentford fan here, i dont want to start arguments, but i belive the stature of our performance last night was brought upon yourself by the way your players were openly disraspectful about us after the game at roots hall saying they couldnt belive we were doing so well ect. our manager was making a clear point of this in the build up to our game last night, i just hope that your team will have learnt lessons and try to be as diplomatic and realistic as your teams fans, who i have respect for, good luck for the rest of the season

What evidence do you have of any of this? As far as I know, our squad were always aware that Brentford are to be treated with respect. To be fair, although I doubt the credibility of what you say, even if it is true, you certainly didn't show that you are a top-6 League 1 side in the original fixture did you? That's not to say that you're not worthy of your position, far from it, you proved last night that you were. But in the original fixture, you can hardly blame anyone for suggesting that you looked no better than us.

Don't see it myself.

Brentford are a strong League One side in good current form and playing very well on the night.
Southend are a strong League Two side in poor current form and playing very poorly on the night.

Simple as that.

that is a fair statement but professionals should not disrispect other professionals after a fair game

The only person I was aware of showing any disrespect was your manager who stated that Kevan Hurst would never score another goal in his whole career like he did in the original match. I suggest you might like to re-check your source as to where any of our players showed any disrespect. If it is based on comments by Rosler, then I think you can probably dismiss them as incorrect or, as mcnasty says, geared to gee you/your team up last night.

Of course you're starting an argument, and that's not good for your Karma.

There was widespread bemusement about Rosler's comments. I only read well-measured and respectful stuff after the first match and, as someone said above, this was probably just a ham-fisted motivational technique. I was disappointed in him, and couldn't really understand why he felt the need. He only had to look at our injury list to see that we'd struggle.

We should have won the first game but, if we had, we'd now be staring down the barrel of a 26-1 (Corr would score) defeat against Chelsea. Brentford will do better than that (16-4?) and, despite your clumsy appeal to Buddhism, I hope that they do.

The blokes a tool. He was embarrassed by the way your team performed against us the previous 2 times so tried to motivate them and it worked. Simple as that.

None of our players made any disrespectful comments about Brentford and in fact it was Rosler who was disrespectful about Southend and particularly Kevan Hurst after the JPT game. If Rosler really believes that any Southend players made any disrespectful comments about Brentford then maybe he needs to get his ears tested?

I don't disagree with you. But if this is true (which I very much doubt) then I think you're a bit naïve to believe that this is an isolated instance of disrespect between professionals in this oh-so-honourable sport that we love. If you're so desperate to see almost across-the-board respect between professionals then start watching rugby or cricket instead.

You Sir, are sensationally boring.
