Southend's future number one. (Part 3)

Firstly congrats to SZ favourite poster Lucky Luca who has recently signed a two year contract at SUFC. He is a fantastic young keeper and a real Southend fan too (been coming with his Dad D.O.L.L since he was old enough to walk) so I am sure all will join me in congratulating him. Also well done to Little Dan (probably six foot now) who is another local lad to get two years out of the club.

Both are great lads and I am sure will go on to do well. One day my claim to fame will be Lucky Luca came to my wedding.

As a side-line the lads travel to Holland on Thursday for the Vogidoctoernooi Cup. http://www.vogidoctoernooi.nl/en/Historie/2012/#.U3n-3tFOW1s


The lads will face the giants of Werder Bremen and Sparta Rotterdam amongst others. Messages of support for the lads on this thread are welcomed.

Hi Peter , This will be Luca's 10th tour , he has played all the German Bunderliga team and many teams from Scandinavia , Poland , Holland , France and even a couple of Russian teams. This one will be a good test but it looks a good squad of players . Luckily he is he only Keeper going so should be busy , 4 years ago Ted Smith won GK of tournament there so Luca will be aiming high . They don't go just to make the numbers up , this squad have come back with many trophies and even a GK of tournament ! UT young B
