Looks like the other results were kind to us as well. Big thanks to Dean Windass for his equaliser against Swansea. Only down point of the day was Col U winning, but I suppose you can't have it all your own way!!

well done Southend (no, I mean it). The top of the league is like a yoyo and swansea have been there more than most this season. if we beat hartlepool next week, and you slip up it's back to the top for us. I think it will be like that until the end of the season because it's so tight and cant see anyone pulling away too far from the pack. The only plus point for the swans from your win today was that you put 2 further points between the swans and brentford, so in a funny way TA!

What do you know? The Swans & Southend have been up the top & in the hunt for promotion all season & deserve Championship football. go back to league 2 yeokel. The nearest you'll get to the championship is on ITV on Sunday morning

Sodje hit the bar last week and scored today - he seems ok to me.
Perhaps he just needs to be playing with a decent team around him to play well......

He was. But he was making individual mistakes. I am very happy for Sodje if he is getting back to his best at Southend. When he plays well, he is an intimidating character to play against.
