Blues: Smith; Clohessy, Cresswell, Prosser, Barker; Hurst, Martin, Mkandawire, Timlin; Assombalonga, Corr. Subs: Straker, Eastwood, Bently, Benyon, Woodyard.

If Eastwood is not injured, imo he should be playing in a game like this, he is crying out for pitch time, but bench again, how is he ever going to get match fitif he cant make JPT cup game.

He had pitchtime on Saturday and by all accounts was pretty poor/quiet. Corr needs game time and Britt is our stand out striker this season.

But surely he needs more than one game, and then back to the bench, under your reasoning we would have never seen the best of Tomlin.

What a great position to be in! Yes I'm all for giving strikers time but we have two in form strikers and IMO Corr has been more impressive than Freddy so far this season. It's only fair that Corr gets given a shot too and then if someone takes their chance then that's all the better for us. We're treating Freddy based on 2007 and he's not shown anywhere near that quality and rightly is 4th choice.

Regarding Tomlin, he was doing everything but scoring... rather than strolling around and playing one or two nice flicks.

That assumes Tomlin wasn't playing well before his scoring streak. In my opinion, he was still making a big contribution and still worthy of his space - even before his recent goalscoring exploits.

Not to say Freddy won't benefit from a run in the team, but he has to take his chances and earn it same as everyone else.
