Afternoon

Just being looking through the BBC 606 message boards and Swansea fans are urging all Swans and Shrimps to e-mail Sky requesting that the match to be shown live. I don't think it will make much difference but you never know.

A good idea, but no doubt this would require a kick-off time change so it doesn't clash with the England friendly...

To coin the catchphrase of that old tramp that used to pop up on Vic Reeves Big Night Out.....

YOU'RE WASTING YOUR TIME !!!!!!!!!

Probably, am I getting confused with the Bournemouth game on NYE?

I did at least know that the KO had changed unlike some other people

Surely the best chance of exposure for this game would be on The Championship on ITV1. Is their Championship games that weekend because if there isn't then we will be the top league game of the Saturday!

Yeah, OK it's not live but it's at least deserving of extended highlights or a feature item!

When the Championship teams aren't playing, the programme tends to have a week off as well rather than force the likes of Matt Smith and Andy Townsend to attempt to bluff their way through talking about us poor relations.

As glasgowsufc has already said, it is a total waste of time thinking that you can suddenly get Sky to make it a live match. It's a huge operation, involving lots of equipment and manpower, which needs careful planning in advance, not to mention publishing all the schedules for magazines, EPG etc. Yes, I know schedules do change at the last minute, but they're not going to suddenly change everything just for a League 1 game.

However, good news on "The Championship" front. This from the Radio Times website:

SUNDAY 13 NOVEMBER

Sport

The Championship

9:25am - 10:25am

ITV1 London

VIDEO Plus+: 4496232
Subtitled, Widescreen

Matt Smith reviews yesterday's action in the Coca-Cola Leagues One and Two, including highlights of Southend United against Swansea City from Roots Hall. Commentary by Jon Champion and Clive Tyldesley, and reports from Gabriel Clarke, Tony Jones, Ned Boulting and Dave Beckett.

Looks like the next best thing to me!!

The sheep shaggers only want it changed so they dont have to visit the glorious country that is England.

Roll on The last away game of the season when we clinch promotion at there new ground with 3,000 shrimpers in attendance.

I have a dream, see above.

Sky are legally prevented from screening domestic football matches between 3-5pm on saturdays. The only way that Sky could show the match would be to move it to the sunday and I'd imagine it would be too late for that what with the Pools and stuff. Plus I think they are already screening a match or two on the sunday anyway.
