Southend United's game against Oxford moved to Monday 24th March for the Sky Sports cameras

The game with the U’s was originally scheduled for Tuesday 25th March, kick-off 7:45pm, but will now take place on Monday 24th March, kick-off 7:45pm.

Blues’ last appearance on Sky at Roots Hall was for the second leg of the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy Area Final against Leyton Orient.

Phil Brown’s side beat Oxford United earlier this season, as Conor Clifford and Luke Prosser scored the goals in a 2-0 win.

Tickets for the game will go on sale around a month before the fixture

GREAT news! ..........money for the club and another game I'll be able to watch live at home. Both clubs hopefully in the mix for promotion and a critical time of the season.

Typical, that's the weekend I break up from uni for Easter.. Been waiting for a game to show my flat what real football looks like!

Yesss! Finally getting some recognition from SKY! A team unbeaten in 15 against a team who are yet to lose away from home this season. (Of course, those records could change by the time the match comes around!)

Why are we never on TV away from home, its always games that I would go to anyway.

Are Oxford really unbeaten away from home? That is impressive if they are.

We were shown on TV away at Gillingham a couple of seasons ago, won 2-1 with Tomlin scoring for them.

Oxford's away form is great but their home form is pretty poor and sounds like the fans don't help, IIRC one of their fans came on here and mentioned that.

I've said before that for a small club we get more than our share of TV coverage. Remember back to the Saint and Greavsie days? Remember seeing us a lot on the box when Barry Fry was manager as well.

Rip off for 1 day.

Its a good service but priced stupidly.

I've not used it yet.

It's definitely priced for very infrequent use. If you go to the pub to watch a game you've paid that on beer money, so it's ok for the odd game you're desperate to see and can't get out of the house for.

Games against Ox are often good and have goals and cards so very watchable and rarely boring; so this might be a good showcase for Div 2

Depends... I currently pay €65 a month for cable but literally only turn it on for Soccer Saturday. I've thought of switching to NowTV a few times.

Think its £30 for a month for sky sports for me, so a tenner for 1/30th isnt great value in my opinion, especially as you are only going to watch it for 3 hours.

If it was a fiver Id happily pay it.

Problem is you can watch them for nothing very easily. If they want people to pay rather than stream then they need to price it more realistically.

Go shops and buy 15 cans of Carling for £12. You get a free day pass with it. You can use 5 day passes from Carling as well.

£30 on top of your basic package, I assume?
