Southend United's game on Saturday at Roots Hall will be streamed back to Portman Road

TWTD said:
Town will be showing Saturday’s game at Southend United live on big screens at Portman Road via a beamback.

The Blues sold out the initial 2,000 seats in less than an hour and then a further 450 tickets subsequently went similarly quickly last week.

Given that interest, Town have been given the go-ahead to show the game on big screens in the Sir Bobby Robson Suite.

Tickets are priced at £10 for all adults and £5 for under-16s with bar facilities available. They are on sale to season ticket holders now from Planet Blue and ITFC Direct before going on general sale at 2pm on Tuesday 22nd October.

The Sir Bobby Robson Suite will be open from 2pm with the match kicking off at 3pm.

We haven’t played the next game yet! Haven’t thought about Ipswich. Probably for good reason, it’ll only end in tears.

Is it still a bus service from Shenfield to Southend Vic on Saturdays, due to maintenance work on that line?
If so then the A12/130 & 127 will be well snarled up?.

Ok I’m now thinking about Ipswich. It’ll either be 0-6 or it’ll be 2-0. Strap yourselves in this is going to be interesting.

We should sell 4000 tickets to Ipswich Town fans in our home end, anyway I don’t think most will pay £23 to see us get beat 4-0 to them!

Right I'm going for the following:

Bishop

Elvis Shaunessy Kiernan Lennon Ralph

Hutch Milligan Dieng

Hopper Humphrys

I think 5 at the back is the best option with the 'defenders' we have. Both Elvis and Ralph are suspect defensively but are good getting forward. We need crosses into the two big men up top.

Plus the two big lads up top will be needed when defending set pieces.

If we keep it down to 5 against, I'll be happy!

I'm not sure we have more than about 12 players available for this one with all the suspensions, so it'll be mainly a case of where they line-up.

Sol's Macclesfield were playing 3 at the back by the end of his tenure so it might be a return to that after shipping 7 (SEVEN) last night.

Oxley is likely to return as he only played because you don't change a drawing team.
Ralph may be taken out of the firing line and Demetriou may now remember that he use to play on the left in order to impress the new manager whilst the lure of playing against his old club should be enough to tempt Hyam back from injury and to replace Hamilton.

............................Oxley
...........Kiernan... Milligan.. Lennon
Bwomono... Hyam... Dieng... Demetriou
......Hutchinson... Cox... Humphrys
........................Hopper

Subs Bishop, Shaugnessy, Ralph, Mantom, Goodship, Egbri, Acquah

I am hopeful that the players would be embarrassed as professional footballers of their performance last night.Sol will install some self belief and put out a team that performs. Strangely last nights result may do the trick as some of these players will be in the last chance saloon
Play with wing backs be solid midfield Hump to start with Hopper

How close are Mantom and Hyam to full fitness (I fully accept that in the latter case, the answer is probably never)

Those first four names reading down make me *very* nervous. Must remember though, fresh start for everyone ....... I don't even know any more, I'm not gonna pick an 11. Be interesting to see just how Sol does set them up and who his first 11 will be.
