Injury update - for Southend United (Image: FOCUS IMAGES)

By Chris Phillips. Chief sports reporter.

SOUTHEND United boss Kevin Maher has provided an injury update on four of his players ahead of Saturday's clash with Solihull Moors at Roots Hall.

Goalkeeper Collin Andeng Ndi has not played since injuring his hamstring at Dagenham & Redbridge in January but his now back in training.

Maher said: "Collin's joined in training this week.

"We'll see how he responds at the end of the week to that and if he's ready to be involved.

"We thought he would struggle to play again this season but he's doing well with his recovery.

"We won't look too far ahead though because he's still get some steps to get through.

"We're pleased though and it will give us good competition in that area."

On Adam Crowther, who has yet to play in 2025, due to a knee injury, Maher said: "He's doing another week of training so that gets him closer again."

But on loan defender James Golding is still unavailable due to a groin issue.

"He's still back at Oxford and going through rehab there," said Maher.

"We touch base with them on a weekly basis to see where he's at but he's not coming back to us within the very near future.

"We're monitoring that and we'll be in touch."

Maher added striker Charley Kendall had yet to return to training due a thigh issue but was getting closer day by day.

Kendall has missed the last two games with the injury.
Of all the players to lose, Golding would be in the top three of those needed right now.
If I'm interpreting managerspeak, and believe me I've had 30 plus years of it, so long James, and thanks for all.

If we get more than a 8611 attendance today, can it be announced that it is the highest National League gate of the season to show how far we’ve come, what fantastic support we’ve got and the huge potential SUFC haas. Match the team to the support and we will be a real force to be reckoned with.

Oldham crowds not really the biggest as Rochdale bought nearly 2k with them. If we had a similar away fans at root hall, we would easily break the crowd records for this season.

These stats are more telling

Check out the lowest home and away figures!
Our lowest away attendance was at Fylde a total of 1088, which is understandable as it was a Tuesday and most of us had already been up the M6 on the Saturday!
