Denied by two more great saves from the Vale keeper apparently. Sounds like a really good end-to-end game, both sides going for it and both keepers on form. Tomlin sounding lively - probably feeling more confident after his goal at Bristol.

Tomlin has gone close on a number of occasions.........great open match.......we seem to have got on top over the last quarter of an hour.........Southend players all appealing for a penalty. Corner comes to nothing.
