Behind The Scenes Southend United & Havens Hospices

As many of you will know the club instigated a “United in Giving” campaign in support of Havens Hospices. As a volunteer I was invited to Little Havens yesterday as Kev, Mark and some of the players visited the staff and children.

Whilst we may berate our players and management from time to time they are a credit to our great club and they were humbled to meet some of the siblings and patients at the hospice. Nathan Ralph in particular is a great ambassador for the club.

This photo shows some of the children who have lost either a parent or s sibling and between Kev and Mark is our new self appointed coach 😜

You know, I know Jack Bridge won the Community Champion last year, but he really is an amazing ambassador for the Club. He's literally there in everything. Well done to these players for giving up some time to go and brighten the lives of these youngsters.
