Do I sense a lack of friendship between Cox and Ranger? After Cox's first goal, Ranger is right there and tried to celebrate with Cox but Cox turns and runs away. May be nothing but looks suspicious to me. After the second, Cox doesn't run so far but 2 players giver him a hug and although Ranger celebrates, he doesn't join in the praise of Cox

Pitch is joke very unprofessional i can see football league getting involved soon , someone will get serious injury

Great goal Cox second good technical skills

Would seem to confirm what I've heard rumoured.

Plenty of poor pitches we've played on elsewhere over the years, not sure why the FL would get involved with ours when they haven't for others? We're stuck with the pitch now, we just have to accept that and use it to our advantage.

Good spot 'DWB' and interesting back-up comment 'OBL'.

During the second half, when kicking towards our end, I also noticed hardly any communication between Cox and Ranger. Not even the odd glance and nod to say well done on a good pass or the like.

Coxy always is very verbal and supportive during a match, but seemed to hardly speak to Ranger, which would seem odd for a front pairing.

Great finishes from Cox, didn’t realise at the time how good number 2 was! Also a fantastic header from turner who, to be fair, has looked a threat from set plays since joining.

Slight negative, their goal was very very soft. One long ball, lots of space between defence and midfield etc

There is nothing better than a good number 2......best thing after too much Christmas dinner and sprouts

Best they start behaving like grown men with a job of work to do then.

Agreed, but Roots Hall has always been superb and I mean superb. It's gone from one of the best in the lower leagues to a ploughed field. I lost count of how many times players went down because of it, it's simply unacceptable. I presume the club plan on addressing this embarrassment asap?

I watched the Man Utd game on DVD last night and the pitch that day was like a billiard table. Different markings, obviously.

Just watched the highlights again and paid more attention to the pitch. It is still cutting up bad and if we get much more rain, which will obviously will, it's going to look like a 1970's cup tie before the end of January. It needs to be re-laid at the end of the season and this time properly without cutting corners.

For their goal, you can see Turner slip as he turns to chase Holmes.

Macca was having a lot of problems first half down in the North West corner, as well.

As someone else said, there's going to be a serious injury soon.
