Well that was a woeful second half. Wasn't there Saturday so won't draw comparisons but there was some atrocious defending on display and some hopeless attacking. First half was alright, but as soon as they put Jay Emmanuel-Thomas on it was game over and our defence looked like they all **** themselves and then played like it too.
Oxley 5.5 Should have done better with all three I think, but to be fair to him none of them should have got that far for it to rely on him. My view wasn't the best so may be wrong but thought he could have done better.
Demetriou 6 Fairly solid defensively, a few naive fouls but did alright on the whole.
Sokolik 6.5 Solid and whilst a few passes and clearances went astray he was reliable and didn't let much past him.
White 6.5 As above.
Coker 6.5 Started well and gradually got worse as the game went on, looked like he was missing sharpness and a bit of fitness.
O'Neill 4 Wasted, looked lost in the opposition half. Put some decent deliveries in the box late on but offered absolutely nothing up to that.
Leonard 6 Not his usual self, stray passes, pulled out of position, missing when needed to protect the defence too often.
King 6.5 All the right ideas but not the execution. Seemed like he was shackled in a deeper role than he would prefer.
McLaughlin 7 MOTM Got at them, didn't stop chasing, our biggest threat.
Mooney 5 Fall over, fall over, fall over. If he ever tried to beat his man to the ball it could have been 4-0.
Cox 7 Worked his socks off and was exhausted by the end, lacks quality around him to shine.
Subs
Bridge 6.5 Not enough time to influence the result but put himself about.
McGlashan 7 Pace that we desperately needed but as above.
Williams - No time.
Why on earth did we not make a substitution until the last 10/15 minutes?! Playing against a side with a small squad who used up all three subs around the hour mark with the scores level and McGlashan's pace on the bench and we didn't use it. As soon as they equalised, heads dropped and at 2-1 it was game over.
Set pieces again. Jay Emmanuel-Thomas again. Brown/Coughlan have a hell of a lot of questions to answer.
