Southend Rugby are playing their first Division 2 game this coming saturday at home against Stourbrigde. if your not going Brighton something to do.

There were 2 guys who I knew used to play for Southend about 4 years ago, but I dont know if they still do or not. Is there a list of the squads for this season anywhere?

don't know any of the players or anything. they do get a mention in the echo and may have a web site. I've seen them play about 4 times in the last few years.

don't know too much about rugby but apparently they have a few decent games this season.I'm told Manchester and Halifax are big sides in that division, happy to be corrected.

If i remember rightly its a 5er

RE: Losing both games, but getting 2 points, you win a bonus point if you lose by less than 7 points and also a bonus point for scoring more than 4 tries

i'd imagine England making the World Cup final is going to boost fans going to local games, hopefully Southend win benefit. According to the Echo last week when we played home to Tranmere they got 400 so the potential is there.
