Southend Players Are A Credit To The Club

Last night, I had an event with my football team at Rayleigh go-carting. We were going to be presented with our awards for being part of the team.
Originally, Steve Tilson was going to be atteding to present us with our awards, but he couldn't make it. In his place, he sent Kevin Maher and Lee Barnard.
They presented the awards to us and stayed around for a chat, a few photos and to sign autographs.
The two players were very polite to everyone and they were a credit to the club. Thanks Maher and Barnard!!!

Maher has always been a credit to this club and a gentleman and a top bloke. Its nice to see Lee, who hasnt been at the club long, to be of the same mould. He is obviously fitting into the Shrimper life quite well. Long may it continue.

Most of the guys have always been a credit when on public duties representing the club at presentations or signings. Good to see that Kev is still involved though.

On the same note, how refreshing (from a footballing point of view) that Charlie Mulgrew didnt fall to the floor like he had been shot after the headbut from Heffernan. I hate seeing players play acting, its pathetic.

Yes but, did Barnard say whether he would be for Friday night or not?
He said that he had a scan earlier in the day an dhe should be fit for the match on friday, he also said he'd be gutted not to be a part of the game on friday. He was saying how much of a big game it was and how we need to win this. He also believed that we can win the game but he's going to give 110% if he playes.

I was going to post something similar, especially as it was only a week so later than the Nani - Lucas Neill debacle.

I could understand Neill going down to try and ge tthe nani guy sent of, but actually butting someone and going down yourself, like Nani did is pathetic.
Doesnt the bloke realise they have cameras at matches and he may end up looking like a prize idiot.

Great news, but when does Barnard not give 110%?
Good point, in every match, he gives 110% but in this match he said he will do anything he can to get us to Wembley. My prediction is 2-1 southend, southend going 2-0 up with Bailey and Barnard scoring, then Donny will get a goal back late on in the game.

COME ON YOU BLUES!!!
