Southend Have Signed Pawel Abbott

According to mate, i know its not certain, but hes dead set that Abbott has signed, hes number 9 then i guess.

Is he any good, im actually not exited by this yet.

(Rather have sharp, parker, or grant, but i hope hes good abbott, give me some confidence.)

He will be something we havent had in a long time, a target man that can actually play.....well of course, since the legend that was Dreeeeeeeeewe was here!.

I hope your mate is right, Pav will be worth a good 10+ goals to us next season i'm sure.

Fingers crossed that it will be announced in the next 24 hours.

PS. Interesting to note what Pav's squad number is at Huddersfield.....coincidence??....we will see I guess...

according to him, hes had his medical today, so tilson has somehow kept this on the low key, would explain why he only just realesed the squad numbers, as he knew abbott was signing so left him number 9.

his stats are second to none really, 70 apps, 39 goals in the league since 15-03-2004

Im sure it will be up by 12pm tomorow if not then by 2. We will see eh. I do have 2 admit his links to the info were a tad tenious, but hes convinced that weve signed him, i really cant wait for the season to begin!

According to an uncle's mate's cousin's cat who is very reliable normally, there is a small dog in Herefordshire who knows a large bull (the one who does the mascot thing at the football club) who was once friends with a small but very well-formed artichoke who said that we were on the verge of signing Billy Sharp. I know, I know! How exciting!!

Yes Mike, but that bloke's brothers mate bumped into a chap whilst walking his dog in Helsinki and, as often happens in this situation, immediately struck up a conversation about our mystery signing and realised he was talking to someone who was fostered by a lady who knew the man in the local off licence who just happens to be on talking terms with someone who was at infant school with Pawel Abbott and he said it was him!

I mean, how much more proof do you want?

Abbott didn't have the best of seasons last year but I was very impressed with him when Huddersfield came to Roots Hall. His goal that day - when he completely outmuscled Che Wilson and fired past Flavs, was a sign of what he can do and I think he could do a good job for us.

I think Abbott would be a good signing, its funny really when you consider he could have joined MK Dons last week!
